Girl Friday Breakfast Club with Emily Pomroy-Smith on 29 November

Emily Pomroy-Smith

On Friday 29 November 2019 our Girl Friday Breakfast Club guest speaker will be Emily Pomroy-Smith.

As a mother who is disabled and a part-time wheelchair user, Emily Pomroy-Smith is passionate about creating a world that is accessible to all and where everyone can contribute. Her life experiences have inspired her to want to change things for the better.

Emily was born in London and educated in Wiltshire, she then studied and worked in London before returning to live in Wiltshire in Trowbridge. She has her own business designing and making clothes for children and also volunteers as a breastfeeding peer supporter, providing practical and emotional support to local mums. Emily wants us all to live in a community, now and into the future, that values diversity and that addresses inequalities in education, health care, social welfare and housing. After the 2016 referendum, Emily became involved in politics and is currently standing as the Labour candidate for South West Wiltshire in the 2019 General Election. Come along and hear from an inspirational young woman inspired to follow her beliefs and values.

The Girl Friday Breakfast Club was established by Kate Reynolds and Anita Taylor to provide a friendly and informal space for women to meet, chat, and support each other. There is no agenda other than hearing from an interesting woman speaker, eating breakfast and drinking great coffee or tea together in Miranda's Coffee Shop at Drawing Projects UK on the last Friday of each month from 8:00am to 10:00am.

The ticket price includes your delicious breakfast at Miranda's. Please book your Girl Friday Breakfast in advance here, so we know how many to cater for!

Miranda caters for gluten-free and vegan-friendly guests too.

All women, and those who identify as women, are very welcome to join the Girl Friday Breakfast Club.
